On behalf of the Board of Directors, medical staff, and the entire Bayview Hospital family, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Jules Reid, who recently concluded her eight-year tenure as our Hospital Administrator.
Jules has been so much more than an administrator – she’s been a steady presence, a compassionate leader, and a true champion for our patients and staff. She guided us through some of our most challenging times, including the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, when her calm leadership and unwavering commitment kept us moving forward. During her time at Bayview, we celebrated significant milestones: the opening of our ICU and the launch of the Bayview Hospital Urgent Care Centre, both of which have transformed the care we’re able to provide to our community.
What set Jules apart was her hands-on approach. She wasn’t someone who led from behind a desk – she was in the halls, visiting patients daily, learning their stories, and ensuring they felt cared for.
Throughout her time with us, Jules worked tirelessly and brought excellence and genuine care to everything she did. We’ll miss her presence greatly, but we’re thankful for all she’s accomplished and the lasting impact she’s made on our hospital.
Thank you, Jules, for everything you’ve given to Bayview Hospital. Your impact on Bayview Hospital will be felt for years to come.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Peter V. Harris,
Chairman, Bayview Hospital
