Bayview Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathyann Ollivierre, FCA, CPA, CGA, as its new Chief Operating Officer. With over 25 years of transformative leadership experience, Kathyann brings a wealth of strategic expertise and a passion for building high-performing teams to Barbados’s healthcare sector.

Kathyann’s impressive career includes groundbreaking achievements in the retail and distribution industries. She made history in 2009 as the first appointed female Director in the Massy Integrated Retail Business and served as the first female CEO of Massy’s manufacturing entity in Barbados. Her accomplishments include leading major organisational rebranding initiatives, achieving ISO 9001 certification, and successfully managing multi-million-dollar operations with teams spanning procurement, logistics, quality management, and health and safety.

A Fellow Chartered Accountant with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting from the University of the West Indies, Kathyann’s portfolio spans internal and external audit, financial management, and operational leadership both locally and regionally.

In her first year, Kathyann’s priorities focus on creating a seamless patient experience across Bayview’s companies. “The collaboration that is required to bring all the services together as a ‘One Stop Shop’ is what our clientele desires,” she explains. “The culture should reflect the best healthcare on the island – it’s about the experience.”

Her leadership philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Teamwork makes Dreamwork! Our teams must feel inclusivity and recognition.” Patients can expect care delivered with compassion, as Kathyann commits to “leading with Heart.”

Looking ahead, Kathyann is energised by Bayview’s vision. “I have taken on this role at a very exciting time. There are new additional services and personnel, and the Chairman has a vision for the next five years that will see Bayview move into new realms of cutting-edge technology. I am going to be here supporting it all the way!”
